In Uganda, Drug abuse has been described as a problem especially among school youth. Psychiatry mental cases in hospitals due to drug abuse is estimated at 25 %. This poses a big problem to the school youth as they are unable to study. Students who abuse drugs are a potential risk to other students as they become violent anytime. Even government spends a lot of money on treating health complications resulting from drug abuse. To address drug abuse, we hope to carry out prevention campaign in schools to raise awareness of the health risks youth can fall into.
