Team Yugma went to a school meant for specially abled children- ZEP Rehabilitation Center (owned by Ms. Netra Patkar) and learned their day today challenges. One of the biggest challenge observed was the acceptance by mainstream society. Yugma Team decided to bring these children to our school twice a week for 2 hours. The children along with school teachers volunteered to explore the talents of these children viz. dancing, drawing, singing, playing sports etc. and formed a homogeneous community. Children are honing their skills, and other team members are understanding their specific needs. It’s a step forward towards integration.
