Students are building a prototype for a sustainable streetlight that will run off of solar, electric, and wind energy.
Students were guided by the Stanford design thinking process to create their project. The Stanford process has five steps: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. After understanding the problem from multiple perspectives, defining our problem, and devising an idea, our team created several prototype designs and a proposal. Ultimately, scalability and functionality led them to their most recent design.
