Today, many individuals excessively consume and dispose of their clothes, resulting in landfill deposits and increased climate change. Our app combats this issue using the features Repurpose, Donate, Buy, and Sell. The Repurpose feature gives the user ideas to change their old clothing into other crafty items such as headbands, cropped t-shirts, and more. Furthermore, the Donate feature allows the user to find local, nearby donation centers to give their old or unneeded clothes. This feature will prevent the users from throwing away the clothing and rather utilizing it for other means. Additionally, the Buy feature allows the user to purchase secondhand clothing from other users on the app. This will decrease the amount of consumption to outside retailers and allow for the old clothing to be reused in other methods. This will also assist minority groups who may not have the financial capability to always purchase firsthand clothing. Finally, the Sell feature permits the user to market and sell their clothing items to others on the app, further allowing them to reuse the clothes rather than contribute to the landfills. Evidently, our app focuses on combatting the current climate and land crisis through sustainably handling clothing and textiles.
