Essential Question
Because every child deserves equal access to play, independence, and joyful experiences. no matter their mobility needs.
Project Description

This project focuses on accessibility and inclusion by using engineering and technology to help children with mobility challenges enjoy the same experiences as other kids.

Students worked together to modify a battery-powered ride-on car for a child who could not use the foot pedal. They rewired the car and installed a push-button control on the steering wheel, allowing the child to drive using their hands instead of their legs. They also adjusted the remote-control system to ensure safe and accessible operation.

Through this project, students applied engineering, coding, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Our next project will be more advanced, as the child we are designing for has more significant mobility challenges. We plan to add sensors so the child can operate the car using head movement, creating an even more inclusive and independent riding experience.
