This project is divided in two parts:
1) Several regions of the world lacks simple resources such as light for the students to study when it turns dark, We tested a system that consists of an LED lamp that can be charged with a solar panel, We delivered in small scale in the US, Ghana and the Philippines. We want to scale up to:
- 20 students with special needs in Ocala, FL, USA
- 60 students with special needs in the Philippines
- 50 students in need from the favelas in Brazil
- 57 students in need from a school in Ghana
- 20 students in need from a school in Liberia
Contacts are established and we just need the funding to provide them the kit.
2) The second part of the project focus on the monitoring of a body of water to collect data that will be used for research. Data consists of video, pH, salinity, temperature, turbidity and initial contacts will focus on manatees in Florida, the monitoring of water for consumption from a lake in Ghana, the monitoring of water from a lake surrounding Taal volcano in the Philippines, the monitoring of beaches in Vitoria, Brazil.
