Big Idea
Technology for Equitable Quality Education
Essential Question
How might Interactive Technology transform teaching and learning to promote Educational equity?
Project Description

Our project titled “Digital Learning for All: Empowering Students through Interactive Smart Board Technology” addresses the challenge of unequal access to quality education, a key barrier to educational equity in many developing regions (UNESCO, 2020). In Tanga, many students lack opportunities to engage with digital learning tools, which limits their learning experiences, participation, and development of essential digital skills (World Bank, 2018). Guided by the question “How might interactive technology transform teaching and learning to promote educational equity?”, we introduced smart board lessons to make learning more inclusive, engaging, and collaborative. Research shows that interactive technologies support diverse learning styles and improve student engagement and understanding (OECD, 2019). Through student-centered activities, our project has enhanced digital literacy, increased classroom participation, and contributed to a more equitable learning environment where all students, regardless of background, can access quality education and develop essential 21st-century skills aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education (United Nations, 2015).
