In collaboration with students from the Collegio Militar de Manaus Brazil our students created prototypes of an Evapotranspiration Toilets. In Brazil, toilets would be used in areas with little or no access to public utilities. We designed a system that would be used in US National Parks that could be used to grow seedings that would be replanted in areas that have experienced deforestation. Our prototype would help the environment in several ways reduce the amount of human waster replacing septic tanks, reduce COs emissions, use the biomass from the toilets to plant and grow endangered plants or trees.
