Our project began with the critical issue of the Amazon River drying up, which led to the death of many animals and severely affected local communities. In response, students from the Colégio Militar de Manaus conducted field research on the environmental impacts of poor sanitation in the region and began constructing an ecological toilet in Tefé, a city in the Amazon designed to serve as a model for other areas. The students from Davis Middle School contributed by developing prototypes of the system and creating environmental education initiatives, using tools like CooSpace and MiniCraft.
